Built in the 1920s, the Fargo Theatre is an historic old movie house showing a range of independent and art house films. The beneficiary of a recent, $2.6 million-dollar renovation, it can screen 16-mm, 35-mm or 70-mm films, and features a stunning Wurlitzer Organ through which it "pipes in" beautiful intermission music; it is also the home of the annual Fargo Film Festival. It lies in the heart of town, a few blocks west of Viking Ship Park.
